About Paphos Tourism

With architecture and history dating back thousands of years, the coastal town of Paphos houses many significant relics of this island country. Located in the south-western region of Cyprus, Paphos is a historic destination and the town is now on UNESCO's prestigious World Cultural Heritage List. Cheap holidays in Paphos are available if you shop around, with prices being all the more affordable if you are able to stay during the low season, between October and March, while August remains the most expensive and busiest time of the year to plan a vacation.

The landscape surrounding the town is grandiose and the coastline is beautiful, and many sightseeing opportunities are close to Paphos Airport (PFO). Next to the harbour, the Castle of Paphos is a particularly famous ancient landmark. Other notable historical sites are located here in abundance, such as the Tombs of the Kings, Mosaics of Paphos and Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou), the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love.
